Ina, Kapatid, Anak: Celine (Kim Chiu) and Margaux (Maja Salvador) grew up with very different lives. Celine grew up poor in Cebu while Margaux lived the life of the heiress of the country's biggest shoe manufacturer. Their paths will cross when they attended the same university in Manila and became the best of friends. Although Theresa did not want Celine to attend the university, she eventually relented because she also wanted to give her daughter a chance. What Celine did not know, however, was that she should have had a good life as well because she is the daughter of Julio and Beatrice.
